I gave in. I've been resisting for a few weeks but I eventually gave in. I loved it when I first saw it online - but between $30 + shipping and it being sold out, I couldn't do a thing except DIY it. Well, I was bound to DIY it in the first place, it's so easy and fun. If you wanna make your own, read on!

But as you can see it's sold out. And for a t-shirt, it's kind of expensive (think of the shipping). So here's what you need to make your own, it's as easy as 1-2-3:
Plain white t-shirt
Black fabric paint (about 4-6 oz of it)
Sponge
Cat face stencil (draw your own, or download mine here)
Freezer paper
Scissors
Painter's tape
Cardboard the size of your shirt
Tape as illustrated above, and place your cut-outs (stencil printed on matte side of freezer paper). Iron that down.
Tape up the side of your shirt (line it up with the seam) as well for a cleaner stencil.
Sponge your paint - I use a soft kitchen sponge all the time cause I find it makes the cleanest edges as compared to brushes or those cheap foam brushes. This is probably the most time-consuming step in this DIY, but it's all worth it I tell you! :) After sponging let it dry, take the tape and paper off, and you're done.
Easy as 1-2-3 right? And so worth it. Now you have yourself a cute cat shirt, and for what, less than $10? :D
Don't forget to iron it after it dries to set the paint. If you don't want a grungy look, you should sponge another coat of paint.
I just so love cats now. How about you guys? What are your favorite animals? Leave me your thoughts down in the comments box below and have a good week! Also, enjoy making this if you're planning to. :)
